Haliburton and District Lions Club Enchanted Forest Service Project 2021
The Haliburton Lions Enchanted Forest Service Project 2021 came to a successful and delightful conclusion with the delivery of a variety of natural and mane made materials for the Loose Parts Play area in the Enchanted Forest at Abbey Gardens.
Lions Tina and Gerald Hadley, Betty and David Mills, Stanley Gross, Gail Stelter and friend of the Lions, Peter Stelter were pleased to present these to Abbey Gardens staff Cara Steele, Program Coordinator, and Irene Heaven, Education Coordinator.
The Haliburton Lions can easily imagine the creative fun the children will have with items such as PVC pipes, round rocks, tree slices, the cut-out barrel and much more!
This project began in 2019 when Abbey Gardens sent out a call for help after the Enchanted Forest had been vandalized. The Haliburton Lions have made significant contributions in the last two years and look forward to doing so again in the future.
