STORIES IN THE PARK FUN FAIR 2023

​ The Lions plan this annual event to that the families of our community for their support and to foster literacy by giving a new book to every children and a fun time in the park at this free event.
What: The Haliburton Lions Stories in the Park Fun Fair for Children
Where: Head Lake Park, Haliburton
When: Wednesday, August 30, 2024 from Noon to 2:00 pm
​What:
· Individual, low impact, non-competitive games, such as: Bean Bag Toss, Fish Pond, Sidewalk Chalk Games, Mini Putt, Giant Pick Up Sticks and Ladder Toss and more!
· Free New Book for every child
· Balloons
· Guessing Games
· Photo Boards
· Story Reading at “The Story Tree”
· Free hot dogs, popcorn and juice boxes for all the children
· Participation by local community groups and organizations

Self-guided Water Storybook Walk & Contest by the Haliburton-Muskoka-Kawartha Children's Water Festival

SHIRCH'S Bumps & Babies (CPNP) & Way to Grow (CAPC) will be joining us this year
They we will have a mural / banner that kids can sign/draw/graffiti art on. They will have face painting (hearts &flowers), some neat science experiment type things and do special bigger demo throughout the day.

Turtle Guardians
They we be sharing all things interesting about turtles and how they protect them
